Khloe Kardashian to Wed LA Laker’s Lamar Odom
Will we be seeing an NBA star in future episodes of E’s hit TV show, Keeping Up with the Kardashians? It seems like it. The show’s star, Khloe Kardashian, is set to wed LA Laker’s Lamar Odom on Sunday. The two will be marrying in California.
Khloe Kardashian broke the news on her official website two days ago:
“Hi dolls. I’m thrilled to finally be able to tell you that the news is true… Lamar and I are getting married on Sunday!!! I couldn’t be happier and I’m so excited that I can finally share the news with all of you.
Your well wishes have meant the world to me and I am truly so blessed to have such amazing fans, family and friends during this incredible time in my life.
I love you all!!! Xoxo”
Lamar and Khloe have only been dating less than a month but they wanted to get married before Lamar has to leave to train for a new NBA season. The couple was very quick to act on their decision to get married and their wedding was planned in less than two weeks. Khloe spills all the details of her upcoming wedding in this week’s Life & Style magazine cover story.

The upcoming wedding will be a first for both. Kardashian, who is 25 years old, was romantically linked to athletes in the past; to footballer Derrick Ward, and basketball player Rashad McCants. Twenty-nine year old Lamar has two children with a former girlfriend he lived with for 11 years, Liza Morales. Morales and Odom had a third child who died of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome.

Bottom line is that it is their choice. It seems quite ridiculous to me and those sisters appear to be competitors more than family. If the competitor theory is valid, then perhaps this is about oneupmanship. If that is the case then it is sad. In a month most people do not really know each other, probably have only slept together and not have done the real work and had the real conversations needed to build something for a lifetime. However, many people appear to not be interested in building for a lifetime and if that is the case they should proceed as they are doing. I realize that my opinions and views might be seen as biased since I am not a fan of those sisters or their show–just not my form of entertainment. I could cite a bunch of psych theories/cases etc. but forget that–let’s look at the recent pop psych and humor book “Act Like A Lady, Think Like A Man.” They have not met their “90 day Ford Motor Co. probation period.” Hehe. Anyone who read the book will know what I mean.
